A referral centre, also called tertiary referral hospital, is a hospital that provides tertiary care, which is health care from specialists in a spefic condition.

Dispite being the most common intraocular cancer in adults, uveal melanoma (UM) is a rare disease. These centres are equiped to offer the best quality of care for UM patients.

Patient organisations are involved in disease education, treatment access facilation and provide emotional support. They offer the a patient a closer connection to an informed community, available online and even through meetings.
