New book from our partners about ocular tumours and their treatments

Our partners at  Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland) are working on a book entitled "Ocular Oncology", covering the different types of tumours that can affect the eye and how to treat them.

The book will be published in celebration of the 50 years of brachytherapy (a form of treatment of uveal melanoma - you can watch an explanatory video here)  in Krakow Ophthalmological Clinic. It will be available in two languages, Polish and English, and will have 14 chapters that will cover the different type of tumours that can arise in the eye as well as the different treatment modalities.

To improve patient care in rare diseases such as UM, it is important that centers with vast clinical experience share their expertise. As co-editors of the book, Prof. Martina Jager (Leiden University Medical Centre, The Netherlands) and Prof. Sarah Coupland (University of Liverpool, England) will also contribute with their knowledge and experience on the field.

More news about the “Ocular Oncology” book will be published on our website!
